it is in memory of malik grayson, a berkeley student who became an oregon donor earlier this month. if you don't plan to cook, but you want a free meal, you can stop by the spice monkey restaurant who will host the day of giving. you get a complimentary dinner if you bring 10 canned goods for the community food bank. reservations are on a first come first serve basis. it gets started at 4:00 this afternoon until 6:45 this evening. one of the biggest events other than getting the turkey to the table is a macy's thanksgiving day parade. the big balloons all 125 of them, the bands, the lavish floats will make their way down fifth street to new york in a couple of hours. this is the 24th year of the parade, one of the best in the world. we have live pictures for you as they are lined up and ready to roll. you can watch it right here on nbc bay area starting at 9:00. we will have live previews. we will have that and a look at the preparations and new additions for the lineup. the fun doesn't stop after the parade. the dog show will air right after noon and a little behind the scenes vide
