joining us with more on that, mallette green. >> great to be here, pat. >> let's start with 18-year-old markel ross, who was killed yesterday while walking to school, central high school in capital heights. and of course there was 17-year-old amber stanley, the flowers high school senior shot to death in her home last month. your listeners are very upset but they feel connected to these students. >> they really do. it's a tragedy when any child dies, but these are children who were destined for success. and you are not supposed to be gunned down in your bed. and you're not supposed to be gunned down when you're walking to school with books in your hands. our listeners are primarily parents and many of them live in prince george's county, so this cuts really deep, because it could have been one of their children. and what the community is doing now is they're saying, look, enough is enough. parents need to take back their community and take a stronger stand in the community. >> and in fact, your listeners talked to you, talked to amber stanley's father, who wants to help other young wome
