, ruby, leah, marian, mallory haskins, eli, lana, avery, and reagan. the team's leadership include the head coach, assistant coaches, natalie and sidney. technical coach. the choreographer. madam speaker, it's my honor to celebrate these athletes from my alma mater. we wish you continued success on the stage. go, bulldogs. madam speaker, i seek to rise to recognize someone who needs no recognition at all but somebody that's very dear to me. a tennessee volunteer legend, gus manning. he's turning 99 this july, and i wanted to take a few moments to dangerous gus' life and distinguished career. he's a lifelong knoxvillian. he graduated from the fighting golden bears and then served in the united states marine corps during world war ii. it was after that he completed that he served -- after he completed serving his country -- excuse me -- in the marine corps, he decided to become a tennessee volunteer and that journey began. a tremendously athletic individual, gus walked into u.t.'s football team in 1947 and played baseball for the volunteers. he graduated
