michael malpass has been accused of robbing an exxon gas station on i-95 near aberdeen wednesday afternoon and hit a shell gas station in aberdeen. he robbed a 7/11 on bel air road. crime stoppers helped police track him down. a man was arrested who has been impersonating a police officer. 18 combroled walter oliver -- 18-year-old walter oliver first drew suspicion on november 2 working as a private security gaurd at the pine heights treatment center when he was caught on surveillance video pulling a gun out of a holster. >> they have video evidence of is suspect identifying himself as a police cadet and he was working as a private security officer with all of that equipment. >> he was kicked out of the baltimore police explorer program in october because he was suspected of stealing police equipment from the southeast distribute police headquarters. the program is designed to foster relationships between police officers and youngsters between the ages of 14-17. tuesday a search warrant was served at his home and uniforms, a bulletproof best, bat, edge -- vest, bat, guns were found. >> he

they are pointing the finger atmichael malpass. he used again to held -- hold up a gas station on i-95. he then hit five more locations. among them, a shell station in aberdeen. a 711 along bel air road. in each case, he was armed wun. he is charged with armed robbery, assault, and theft. >> a man accused of stealing badges and other police equipment from city police officers and using the equipment to impersonate one. there are charging walter oliver with police impersonation and theft. according to the charging documents, oliver told his employer he was a cadet with the police department. the 18-year-old was a member of the police explorers program. police are investigating pop -- possible connections to a rash of the police officer impersonations. investigators say a 14-year-old boy was waiting to be picked up at the corner of may lane in as water just before 7:00 when a pickup truck with two and stopped and asked if he wanted a ride. the boy left the area for another bus stop and reported what had happened to school officials.
