they say one man died from a stab wound. police arrested one man in this death. this is san jose's sixth homicide of the year. thiswe are working to find out s more. a grand jury has indicted the suspect in the kidnapping and murder of 15-year-old sierra lamar. the suspect. antolin garcia- torres. he was not only indicted in the lamar kidnapping. but also in a string of attacks on women in the south bay in 2009. he will be arraigned on thursday. you may recall. sierra lamar went missing in morgan hill back in 2012. the 15-year-old girl was last seen walking towards a school. her body has not been found. the effects could be catastrophic, according to hot the national weather service, as ice storms and winter storms hit parts of the south from texas to north carolina. we'll tell you how officials are bracing for the major winter storm. a san jose police officer has pleaded "no contest" to traffic tickets. prosecutors say george chavez wrote fake tickets against two people. those people were involved in a lawsuit with chavez. over an off-duty car accident. chavez i

there is a man and woman who live here. a 60-year-old man. he was called for the ambulance, was in the ambulance outside his home. for whatever reason became combative with county fire, the emts. he assaulted at least one of those people, then ran out of the ambulance, ran inside the home. the wife still outside. the emt, they called for what is called a code 3 cover, they call law enforcement saying we need you out here. we have a serious situation. when the sheriff's office came out they knew the man was inside so a sergeant and four deputies went inside to search for him and this is what happened. >> as they were searching the house the man came without a baseball bat, he hit the sergeant with the baseball bat, the sergeant was carrying a patrol rifle at the time. it disabled the rifle. hit him in his arm as he tried to block the strike of the baseball bat. at that time he transitioned to his handgun and fired along with another deputy. hit the man and ultimately he died from those injuries. >> reporter: the sergeant who was hit with the b
