george zimmerman in fact did grow up in this area, in the manassas area. as far as freedom plaza, we are here live this morning because we want to let folks know about a rally that will be held here saturday at 2:00 p.m. it is just the latest in a series of movements across the country supporting this family of course. the rallies were held in new york and miami recently and support of trayvon sup martin's family -- trayvon martin's family. the teenager was shot and killed by george zimmerman who claims he acted in self- defense. the teenager was returning from the store, had a haddie on and -- hoody on and was only carrying a bag of skittls and ice tea. zimmerman was told by police not to follow the boy but eventually shot him fatally. the teen can be heard over a 911 call screaming for help before the final gunshot. police did not arrest zimmerman because of a florida stand your ground law that allows a lawful gun owner to shoot and kill if he feels threatened. >> the death of trayvon is terrible. i heard today the commission taking the vote of no confid
