the report says the 911 problems in fairfax, prince william, manassas and manassas park were caused by nonworking generators at two key essential offs. each central office has two generators. in arlington, one of the two generators had air in the fuel line. in fairfax, verizon says the auto start mechanism failed. the single generators at each of those locations were not able to carry the full load and the backup batteries drained quickly. verizon is now auditing all the backup power systems in maryland, virginia and the district of columbia. >> extremely important to us that we understand this could never happen again. so the way we try to do that is to figure out what happened as we've done in this report. we put in place these audits that will go around office by office and examine every possibility and ensure ourselves that we have at least cared for everything that we can imagine that a storm could bring. >> other 911 call crepes are lost the ability to get automatic location information from callers and operators had to ask people where they were calling from. verdicties onen is
