eyes on force there in the bristow station, manassas junction area. so again, a splendid opportunity for these troops now jackson would not sit idly by at bristow station that night. as soon as he received word from isaac tremble. jeb stuart that manassas junction had been and that there was some federal supplies there, jackson began moving. two of the three divisions of infantry him up the rail line early morning on august 27th up towards manassas junction. in the van of that column was the stonewall brigade. and as they began moving up the rail line towards the junction began to pick up bits of supplies that federal troops had left behind. and they thought already they were making quite well until someone a cavalryman, rode up to them and told them, just wait, there's even up ahead. and once the stonewall brigade and other portions of jackson's column made their way into the junction itself, they found a cornucopia of supplies presented to them there. immediately, the men to open up the boxcars and the warehouses of manassas junction and grab any of
