now, prince william county police, city of manassas police did render aid.hospital. when he was taken to the hospital he was conscious and alert. so it does sound like he's going to be okay. two police vehicles were also damaged in this pursuit and as i was taking a walk around i happened to notice look you can see the tree there and a light pole down so it seems like they whipped around this circle here and then end up back over toward the middle of this parking lot area. so prince william county police are the ones who are now handling this investigation. live in the city i'm melanie alnwick, fox5 local news. >> about 2:00 o'clock this morning flames tour through a large home that had several apartments in it not for the university of maryland. five students lived in that home. two were inside at the time. those two students were able to get out safely however two firefighters were hurt when part of the roof collapsed. fortunately those firefighters are both expected to be okay. the cause of the fire though is still under investigation. >>> president trump

now, city of manassas and prince william county police say they got a call around 12:40 this morning ll for the sound of gunfire in the city of manassas in the georgetown south neighborhood. the caller was able to give a description of a black older model suv, manassas city police located that car, tried to pull it over but the driver wouldn't stop. then we're told here in the park and this parking lot there was some kind of a confrontation. the details of that still unclear at this time, but the 18-year-old driver did have weapon. police then fired and struck the driver. also gave the driver first aid until he went to the hospital with serious injuries. we're told he was conscious and alert. there was also a teenaged girl arc passenger, in that black s suv. police i know have been talking to her as well. and as we mentioned those two police cars damaged also in the pursuit above butt no police officers we're toll were injured in this. so we've got two different police agencies involved. city of manassas police involved in the shooting the discharge of the weapon itself. they will be
