mandalman and those here today to inform how thingerize going >> we have short presentations first. let me ask if ivon mere from the city attorneys office can come for wrbd. thank you for being here mrs. mere >> good afternoon chair mar supervisor compose cimp and crist crnson. give a overview of the office litigation of the city college case and answer questions you may have. i also want to say thank you to the students, faculty, administrators of city college who kood by our office throughout the litigation. they came to every hearing and made their prerns known to the trial judge and was supportive and very grateful. we are grateful to the boferd trustees who came and had a presence at the trial. it was a silent but powerful statement to the court that this city cared about city college and that what happened was unfair and something should be done about it. going back we initially filed the case against the accrediting commission for community and junior college in august of 2013. the [inaudible] as i'm sure you know is the soul accredter for community college in california. whe

president mandalman talked about rebuilding trust and equity at city college and assure you the student felt a lack of trust and equity when the campus was closed. i work with freds sterner on the task force to figure where we'll be in the future. we have concerns because we are concerned about getting it done in time. we need someone who is designated to be in charge of everything. everything needs to be ready earlier than august 17. we don't want to move in on august 16 on the weekend to be ready to school monday so that is a big concern. we appreciate freds hard work but need this to be managed well. wewould like the community to get involved it [inaudible] we injoid meeting with them and look forward to having more relationship with that community. i like it, multilingual and ready to mingle just like all of san francisco. that is why we need city college to be in the tenderloin and build enrollment back up. we are a vital force of this wonderful cities multilingual and multinational and multicultural realty that is part of the world today. thank you >> thank you >> good afternoon s

[inaudible] >> good afternoon supervisors. i'm going to begin by echoing what you said about the city attorneys office and the extraordinary work that [inaudible] and colleagues there did. all most immediately following the accjc announcement it would terminate city colleges accredidation in 2013, i think the city attorney got where the accjc was taking college wasn't a good place and he and his office stepped up in a huge way to protect this vital civic institution. some attorneys i know are involved, i may not name all of them, evon [inaudible] tom [inaudible] and matte goldburg all just incredible wurks and get calls from them on weekends and night. they were working all the time for about a 6 month period i think on this. evon talked a little about what we got out of it and agree with everything that she said. securing the injunction from judge car now the accjc cannot terminate accredidation until had cas
