the truckers are staged at mandel and cargo.his is south of at&t ballpark and from there they caravan to the transbay terminal. now, the truckers say the jobs that are being -- the contractors are giving the jobs to people who are gonna work for less money. therefore, they are being shut out of the jobs here and to -- and to, i guess, you could say register their discontent, they are having this caravan of trucks. it's not just the federal stimulus money they are angry about not giving. truckers are also upset that the city of san francisco, they say, is not meeting their obligation to pay a prevailing wage on other trucking jobs. so so far you have 15 truckers out here that i can tell right now and they have turned right or southbound on west street -- excuse me. on first street. they've turned west on first street. their goal is to come in front of the transbay terminal and draw alength to what they say is unfair treatment in terms of the federal stimulus dollars. if you are looking at a live -- you are looking at a live pictu

also today, this is the month we released an important book by tom mandel -- excuse me, robert ball,alled what really happened. the story of the greenspan commission. so that's available, too. i think tom, you are the audience as our editor today. thank you, tom. so we have an exciting panel, create new materials and a real new take. i meant to say a few words about my work here and why were looking back in the sears in 2010. in part, we are here because this is a story that's not being taught about a lot. today's headlines are all about the potential cuts but could make in our public budget. but the story of 1983 as a story about cuts that were made at that time of the social security program and still being phased in. it's not well understood and we want to put the record straight about the kind of balance that was achieved in 1983. in fact, much heavier on cuts, cuts that are still being phased in and give you a picture of what a different approach to strengthening social security for the long run would be. so that's our task today. and i want to welcome up janice. thank you. >> g

i hope pauline mandel jane who founded the center and also my lawyer here representing me.y cui's of way with the prosecutors in their team including. we continue having very good victim support for other unfortunate individuals like myself who of lost love once appeared through horrific crimes. thank-you to defense and prosecutors and george fisher. also the u.s. marshal. and to all of you who have given me time and space. there continue to be many have concluded from ceramic emotional here. no matter what my family has in a sentence here the results of the verdict may be guilty but have a lifetime sentence of lost lamp missing from our family tree. it is painful i live with it every day and so did my son my mother. another member's crime affects more than one person when you have a crime someone dies of homicide to many in america in a fax probably hundreds of other people and their surroundings because friends cousins relatives. a lifetime of broken heart leaving memories of good times i did share with my daughter as a family. what difference does it make? you all of us
