the truckers are staged at mandel and cargo.his is south of at&t ballpark and from there they caravan to the transbay terminal. now, the truckers say the jobs that are being -- the contractors are giving the jobs to people who are gonna work for less money. therefore, they are being shut out of the jobs here and to -- and to, i guess, you could say register their discontent, they are having this caravan of trucks. it's not just the federal stimulus money they are angry about not giving. truckers are also upset that the city of san francisco, they say, is not meeting their obligation to pay a prevailing wage on other trucking jobs. so so far you have 15 truckers out here that i can tell right now and they have turned right or southbound on west street -- excuse me. on first street. they've turned west on first street. their goal is to come in front of the transbay terminal and draw alength to what they say is unfair treatment in terms of the federal stimulus dollars. if you are looking at a live -- you are looking at a live pictu

far as getting the message out, people in my own area, -- the san prendo valley, -- the stanford mandellvalley, we got -- san fernando valley, we got some of which is listed here. any time we do anything to deal with the deficit, if we do it the hour, that produces economic activity now. in general, we need efficient and reversible ways to pump up the economy now to have a plan for austerity in order to pay for the entitlements that are just around the corner. in fact, though, both parties are just fighting the battles that they tend to fight and not looking at this proposal to say how much stimulus are we getting versus how much are we increasing the deficit. what is the plan we can show investors today but can go into effect when the unemployment rate goes down so that we can have some relief that we will be able to pay our debts in the future? the fights tend to be on a few hot button issues and they dominate the press. the one issue dominating the press now is the upper part of the bush tax cuts. as i have tried to point out here today with steve, nobody is talking about something ev
