mandela barnes, the lieutenant governor of wisconsin.what i would argue was a pretty remarkable campaign based on his deep ties to milwaukee, the fact he comes from a union family -- his grandfather and father and mother. and his own service as lieutenant governor and state legislator. his campaign was very strong one. unfortunately, in september and early octobervery, ve wealthy republican donors as well as republican senate campaign committee moved immense amounts of money into the state. they overwhelmed barnes with the multi million dollar advertising campaign that by any means, by any standards was untruthful, was widely decried as racist because the ads identified mandela barnes, the first african-american candidate for united states senate of a major party in wisconsin as dangerous, indifferent, using all sorts of otr codewords. that put barnes down a little, one point down by six points in a major poll. but a very strong debate performance in mid-to-late october, and appearance by barack obama on his behalf, and just incredibly h

kirk voss and susan, mandela barns supporter. thanks for being was, kirk. you believe that inflation is an important issue, now i want to show our viewers in wisconsin where inflation stands right now. you see it today 6.8%, a month ago 6.2% but 12 months ago, just 1.2%, kirk, how much of your support for johnson is inflation? >> i would say a lot of it. personally i'm affected by that certainly from a business standpoint we are affected. our employees are affected. you can't escape inflation and the thing that's most troubling to me is that a lot of it is self-inflicted and its due to policies enacted after the biden administration took office. so the more money you have chasing the same amount of goods, he's disincentivized people from working thereby releasing the labor force and that labor force isn't producing enough goods and services to keep up with the demand. griff: kurt, how specifically are you personally impact bid the inflation? >> well, from a business standpoint we can't raise our prices fast enough. the cost of our inputs continue to go up,

so mandela barnes could tighten.ot sure whether he can tighten enough in georgia, which we haven't talked about it in a while. we haven't called this race. but what we have heard from the secretary of state's office is that it is likely to go to a runoff. raphael warnock is in the lead. but he's only got 49.1% of the vote. the key number here is 50. if no one gets to 50, plus one, as you pointed out, 50% plus one, it goes to a runoff. that runoff would be on december 6th. right now, according to secretary of state's office, that's where this is headed, eastbound though raphael warnock holds the lead and could expand this lead. but maybe not get to 50%. you got about 5% left in fulton county, which is heavily democratic. cobb county leans democratic 88%, and some of the other counties. dekalb, about 10% left to count. raphael warnock could build on his lead, but it would be tough. >> my math says about 12,000 votes. joe biden won. >> so raphael warnock leads by 11,000 votes. you want to play this game? joe biden won b

mandela barnes has there.as a large lead there, just at 82% reporting, which is why i think cnn hasn't made a projection yet. we want to see how much vote is still left in milwaukee to count and what that vote looks like. will it be enough in milwaukee to close the gap, that 31,000 vote gap? it's a tall order for mandela barnes, we'll see. watch this space. you go out west, it's interesting what we're seeing in nevada and arizona. very different depending on the rules in each state. in nevada where adam laxalt leads the incumbent by about 22,000 votes, any ballot that's mailed, as rosa said by yesterday, and arrives before saturday will be counted. we don't know how much vote is left in this state. what we do know is that in clark county, the most populous county by far makes up 75% roughly of the state's vote, katherine cortes masto is ahead by 5 points. all of the ballots remaining to be counted are mail ballots, which tend to skew more democratic. we're waiting for that. arizona, a little bit different. you

and you see rachel overturns in this and you believe that what many have said mandela barnes case iste race. how worried should democrats be? first it is good to see charles thank you for the -- racist campaign appeals are as old as the day is long and this is something that we've always had to deal with in this country from 1988 wharton a that george h. w. bush used which basically had -- whenever we have had african americans on the ballots. certainly we have seen with mandela barnes the attempts to otherize him and make him seem -- try to exploit them to the agenda that he is soft on crime when the republican candidates typically across the board have been focused solely on increasing police presence where is the democrats have been focusing on bail reform and justice reform and trying to ensure that we are getting to the root causes of what leads to violent crime investing in education and employment. those have been part of mandela barnes's platform but i think that charles you actually have spoke to this eloquently. the way these races campaign appeals are actually extended to

they all said the same thing about mandela barnes. they see themselves in mandela barnes. they are looking to make history, and i don't think that we can underestimate what that means for folks on the ground. there's also the issue of abortion. tony ever's, mandela barnes, very staunchly in the protect women camp. tim michaels, ron johnson's very staunchly in the the law on the books that punishes, vilifies and potentially jack jails women and doctors. >> simone sanders towns and thank you very much. steve you want to jump in here for a second? >> yeah, justin interesting development because you already had that call from the colorado senate race michael bennett getting reelected. for some house seats. there's a bigger story, and we can tell as the night goes on, but i want to flag this right now, because this would be a big surprise. the third district of colorado oh. you can see more than 70% of the vote is in now, and boebert is trailing by four. get this in perspective. trump won this district 50 3:45 over biden. so if you're adam fritz that the democrat, you want to b

>> mandela barnes is still in this hunt.he bulk of the democratic vote is. mandela barnes is doing a touch better than joe biden and just a little better than his benchmark, where he would need to be. that's really important. in the wow counties right outside milwaukee, these are always going to be tough for a democrat. mandela barnes coming close to his numbers, maybe a little bit behind of where he would like to be at this hour. but take a look at where the outstanding vote is. we've only got 60% of the vote in out of the city of milwaukee. mandela barnes is doing two-thirds of the vote there. keep in mind, look at that right there, he's right now winning 83,000 votes out of milwaukee, but he's losing the state by 70,000, that means there's a lot manufacture barnes voters there, that number could shrink as we get more. again, only about 60% of the vote. that is the bulk of what is out in the state of wisconsin. that's going to be heavily for mandela barnes. he was battered by ads hitting him on his positions on crime and o
