chan, peskin, mandelman. i'm jamila mccoy. i'm looking to be considered for any one seats, 2, 3 and 4. in qualifying for seat number 1, i stand before you as a survivor. i survived, i survived sexually assaulted, raped, robbed and kidnapped all at the age of 15. for two and a half decades after the assault, i stayed being a victim to the traumas i suffered to the traumas i suffered from in sigh lance. i let severe ptsd, rape syndrome and the streets take control of me. being that these illnesses went untreated, i chose to self medicate in order to escape my reality. this begin my 20 plus year crime spree, this lead to multiple state and most resent federal convictions. i did all the crimes to keep the residivism rising. i was mistaken for service provider. a conversation was struck with another provider and i was asked, do you have 18 months for yourself? and i had never given thought to the fact. i had given the state 18 months or the 3-year sentence and then additional nine months doing two different parole violations. i ask
