also i teach it i teach philippine history at the university of hawaii manoa, so it was very very excited about the questions and comments of professor chang, and i think i wanted to just ask about and i think it's probably related to the question before this question about, you know about filipinos, right and how philippine scholars especially would look at your work or interpret your work, you know, and i think there's always this kind of ambivalence of philippines scholars, like myself and especially those in the philippines about you know, how we look at, you know, philippine filipinos in the us military, right? you know, well, well most everyone acknowledged injustice done to this veterans, especially in the denial of the benefits that were promised to them, but then also you know as what professor chang was talking about that they've all been seen as both of course the subjects and agents of empire, right? so this so and that the fact that many of these filipinos for fighting for the wars of the us against countries like the philippines. right, you know in vietnam and all that. so s
