patterson, pmt omton lakes, manville, bound broom, fairfield, belleville, maple wood, old bridge, monroef side park. if you're in one of these areas i want to encourage you to listen and abide by what your emergency managers are telling you. this is serious and severe flooding can not be taken lightly and in fact it can worsen rapidly. flash floods are one of the things that killed a young woman in salem county during the morning. flash floods can happen very quickly, as the name denotes. so please, don't think that this crisis is over just because the storm has passed. if your emergency managers in your municipalities tell you are you in a dangerous area, then please evacuate the area. the county municipalities have been doing a very good job of communicating all of this to people about flooding and timing and the american red cross and county shelters that have been opening in preparation for the hurricane are remaining at the ready to receive an influx of evacuees due to this flooding. also our two state shelters at men nan and at rutgers will continue to be ready if needed for overfl
