maria: welcome back, good thursday horn, i'm maria bartiromo. it is thursday, october 24, 7:00 a.m. on the east coast. hope you're having a good thursday morning. american airlines earnings crossing the tape. let's get to cheryl casone with the numbers. >> they came in with a strong number as did southwest. i'll give you american first. 330-cents adjusted. the street was looking for 16-cents and revenue better than expected, 13.6 billion, the street was looking for 13.49 billion, they ended with available liquidity. let me give you the southwest numbers, that number was expected to be flat. they came in with a 15-cent profit on earnings per share, both these stocks are doing really well right now. revenue at southwest, 6.87 billion which was better than the street expected. and even though they forecast capacity a little lower for q1, wall street is not worried about it. this was a surprise profit for southwest airlines. both companies continue to have their negotiations and open discussions with boeing. southwest saying they still expect to get 20 boeing 737s delivered for the year

maria: right.point you've been suing lots of states to ensure their voter rolls are clean. are you surprised at how many people, how many names have been taken a off the voter rolls, you were right, they had to clean up you so many voter rolls across several states. >> we're not surprised. this is why we've been so you aggressive, trying to make sure they're taking the names off of the polls. you look at a state like texas, they took 1.1 million people off the voter rolls that weren't supposed to be there, people who died, people who moved out of state and people who aren't american citizens. we're seeing that in every state across the country and that's why we're pushing on every state to make sure that these polls are really clean. maria: i you mean, if immigration is the number one issue, how is it possible that voters in arizona, voters in texas, would vote democrat? >> well, i think that we're going to see where those voters go. i feel very comfortable about the lead that we've got down in tex
