supervisor mar. >> thank you. colleagues i am proud to serve on the bay area quality management district and supervisor avalos and the mayor's environmental advisor. this is a grant from the air district to expand our electric and secure bike lockers in the city. i think many of us know that bicycle theft is a real problem. a couple of us on the board had multiple bikes stolen, me three or four from my home or around my home. we know that the city has ambitious goals to increase bicycling by 20% of the ride share by 2020. it's critical in order to accomplish that that we address bike theft. i think when people are confident the bikes won't be stolen they're more likely to ride and eases congestion and makes park for those that choose to drive and encourage multi-modal transportation that is sustainable for the city. in a budget from two years ago the value of bike thefts was estimated to be over 4.5 million in the city. i think then the safe bikes program and launched by sf safe in partnership with my office great
