how does marc benioff want to be remembered? >> you have sold tens of millions of shares in the last year. why? >> i have sold a lot of stock over the last 10 years, and i've diversified out of a percentage of my stock. but i still have a large position in salesforce. i am either the largest shareholder or one of the largest shareholders. >> no shareholder should be worried about your confidence? >> as one of the largest shareholders, i have never been more excited. >> you created the 1-1-1 model, giving 1% of time, equity, and profits to philanthropy. why is this the best way for companies to give back? >> on day one, we put 1% of our equity, 1% of our profit, and 1% of our time into a public charity. it was easy because we had no stock, no employees, no product. a very easy decision. now that it is paid out, we have delivered more than 680,000 hours of community service, $70 million in grants to nonprofits around the world, including big grants locally to public schools and hospitals, and -- this is what i am most excited abou

about inequality and responsibility of the tech technies and that companies need to do more -- marc benioff been adamant that companies need to do more. what do you think? >> that is basically true. a lot of the new startups are brand-new. a good part of this is what the big companies do. i think that is a big deal. >> what about inclusion and diversity, something else that you and laura have been giving to. why is inclusion important? >> silicon valley and tech is inclusionary. the reason i am so confident is because of the incredible coverage -- people in silicon valley from the incredible number of countries. the challenge is we are still underrepresented when it comes to women and in the u.s. when it comes to african-americans and latinos. >> do women ask for raises of -- if they deserve one?
