>> reporter: yes, good morning, marcus. we'll get to that survey regarding governor newsom in just a moment, but san francisco unified schools have been relatively slow to get their students back in the classroom compared to some of the other districts. but according to a new report in "the chronicle" they're now looking for a little bit of help in streamlining that process for the next school year. so "the chronicle" is reporting the district is seeking a consultant to help guide them in the process of reopening schools in august. the idea of a consultant was previously discussed last june and came with a $90,000 price tag but was struck down by board members. the superintendent once again floating this idea. no word yet on what the district is willing to pay for that consultant or where the funds would come this time around. and as san francisco unified works to streamline their process, a new poll is showing that many support how governor gavin newsom handled the reopening of schools across the state. the survey is by th

but by monday afternoon marcus head of the smaller bavarian c.s.u. had the backing of his party leadership he thinks the conservatives should ponder their candidate question a bit longer not only is he personally more popular than lash out he also claims to stand for a style of politics that people want. the conservatives have never fallen out of favor with voters so quickly before holds on to everything but there are a clear indication of what the public is thinking and we can't cut ourselves off from the majority of people. that mentions them but ford certainly needs now is public support from the white or conservative parties perhaps from members of parliament worried about losing their jobs if the wrong man leads them into the national election in september. if those voices did not materialize it seems very likely christian democrat will be the choice to seize the back home when i'm going to america lease the chancellor e. later they see it and for more now i'm joined by our political correspondent simon young he's covering this story for us toni
