>> reporter: good morning, marcus.hat the second suspect is 27-year-old smiley martin, located at the scene of the shooting with serious injuries. he was transported to a local hospital and it was then that smiley martin was quickly identified as a person of interest. he remained under supervision at the hospital until he was later transferred, taken into custody by sacramento police to the ortn that developed during that investigation. the sticking point right now, smiley martin is the brother of dandre martin, the 26-year-old, the first individual arrested for his involvement in that shooting. now, right now police aren't elaborating on what exactly that involvement means, but they are saying he is in fact involved in this shooting. now, sacramento police tell our sister station they are continuing to look for additional shooters, and as martin awaits his time in court he sees a judge later this afternoon, a call for changes coming, calls to stop the violence from those who have lost loved ones and they gathered for

i'm marcus washington. >> i'm laura garcia.v, but you can watch us live on roku, amazon fire, apple tv, and online. >> we're going to get a look at the commute, but first we want to start out looking at the forecast. >> it's been pretty breezy and we've been talking about all the damage it has caused. as we take a live look outside in san jose, we can see that we were watch ago fire downtown. we have a north-northwesterly wind at about 8 miles per hour, and so as some of the winds pick up for us today, we have to watch out for those kind of conditions. temperatures in the low 40s. it's a chilly start and we'll be slow to warm up today. but those gusty winds do continue as we go hour-by-hour at 11:00, we're still seeing wind gusts at 25 to 30 miles per hour, getting higher for the afternoon. san francisco, 39-mile-per-hour gusts and still some of the breezy winds continue all around the bay area. so we are going to continue to watch that as well as some more rain in our forecast by the end of the week. i'll have more on that in

i'm marcus washington. >> and i'm kris sanchez. this is very unnerving of course. we want to get right to bob redell who is on campus this morning. bob, what do we know at this point? >> reporter: well, kris and marcus, as you mentioned, cal has issued a shelter in place order for people on campus. it's late thursday morning. normally this place would be like grand central with students going to and from class off and on campus but they are taking this seriously. cal has announced they have shut down in-person classes for today and all services of the right now there's a campus police officer or several of them around the student union where they are searching inside. i spoke with an officer. they believe that the suspect they are looking for could be inside. they have been outside this building for at least i'd say the past 30 to 45 minutes. this officer tells me they are looking for a person, a man. this is a person that they know. they have his identity. quote, it's not the first time they have heard of him, according to this officer. they believe he's possibly
