marcus washington has the day off. meteorologist, kari hall, is tracking temperatures that will make me and mike cry today. >> yeah, we don't like the hot temperatures, especially this early. it's going to start to hit us today as the temperatures will be ramping up as we go into late morning and the afternoon. at least we have the cool start. as of right now we are in the upper 40s and low 50s, and san francisco at 49 degrees. it's 54 in dublin. martina starts out the day at 61. we have upper 40s in santa rosa. every couple hours it ramps up about another 10 to 15 degrees. at noon we are already 79 degrees and headed for 86 later today. 90 in concord. san josÉ reaching 91 degrees, and upper 80s and low 90s for the south counties. we are already starting to see the hot weather hitting us early this year, but there will be changes ahead. >>> now let's turn to "today in the bay" bob redell joining us live from livermore. good morning, bob. >> reporter: good morning, kari. we expect that bank temperature sign at 55 to be

i am marcus washington. >> i am laura garcia. let's get straight to the breaking news.interstate 580 in oakland. pete suratos is live and has been there overnight gathering information. what is the latest, pete? >> reporter: good morning, laura and marcus. still a very active scene off of lakeshore avenue east of lake merritt near that trader joe's plaza. behind me, you can see that's the car involved in the deadly freeway shooting, crashing into that pole. a number of investigators with chp are on the ground. we are trying to gather more details on what took place. here's what we know at this hour. according to chp, they said this happened roughly around 12:00 a.m. on the freeway here, off 580. the driver essentially crashing into the pole near the off-ramp following that freeway shooting. the car has several bullet holes in it, so it's unclear if the driver died from the bullets or the crash. over the weekend on 880, you had a 5-year-old who was shot and killed while riding in the backseat of her family car. they were riding along 880 in fremont and coming back from a

. >> i'm marcus washington. >> let's start out with a look at that forecast. it looks nice and clear. >> it's nice and clear. still a little breezy in spots this morning. and temperatures are slightly cooler compared to what we had on saturday. and then taking a look at our live view in san jose, it's a mostly clear start. our monday morning is at about 51 degrees right now. we may cool down another couple of degrees over the next couple of hours, but then we see the trend as our temperatures start to warm up fairly quickly. we'll be in the mid-60s at noon, reaching the low 70s for today, and upper 60s for hayward and dublin, 68 in oakland today and 71 in novato. it's going to get very toasty this week. we'll get a look at that in a few minutes. >>> chp is talking about the san mateo bridge. >> they mentioned that it got breezy and gusty, they were pushed around a little bit across the san mateo bridge. now, the larger vehicles, we're talking about a box truck, higher profile, taller, getting pushed around from time to time, especially if it's not a loaded tru

this is today in the bay. >> i'm marcus washington. >> and i'm laura garcia.s get a look at our forecast with kari hall. >> yesterday was the warmest day of the year so far. and now we're going to bring it back to spring. and the temperatures will reach into the 50s or 60s for today. now we're starting out with 50s around the bay area. we take a live look outside. 56 degrees. it's going to be a mild one. and those winds really start to pick up. ask temperatures hold steady reaching 66 in san jose as well as 68 in martinez we're going to talk about that in a few minutes. you were looking at the trivalley. how is it going? >> the camera look good. we expect that to build. we have seen a number of reports in that direction. we'll show you on the map. no major problems on this live camera we have incidents in the area approaching around isabel. no slowing there. but we want to circle those on the right. that's a major focus right now. folks come in through the pass. it looks like everything has gotten to the shoulder, but we'll track that. just your typical build.
