i'm marcus washington. >> i'm laura garcia. let's start with a look at the roadways. mike is tracking a traffic alert. >> it's early for any slowing. you can't really see it but we'll zoom in. mostly green sensors. 680 over in the tri-valley, that's the issue. southbound 680, earlier there was a crash involving two vehicles in the middle of the southbound direction. a lot of slowing. northbound you see slowing now. there may be a traffic break going on on the southbound side. any time you can see flashing lights coming toward you, folks will tend to tap the brakes. there's gravel reported spread across all lanes on 680, so that will be slow from the dublin interchange to sunol. the northbound side will be distracted heading out of the south bay. no problem for contra costa county. the area shows you the bay bridge. antioch and vallejo, no early slowing. very pleasant right now on the roads. >>> and as far as your temperatures go, we are in the 50s. a couple of 40s through parts of novato. also, notice some areas of fog and some cloud cover through parts of the north b

. >> and i'm marcus washington. let's get you started with a look at what's going on with that weather. meteorologist kari hall is tracking what we can expect. it was not a bad weekend. it was pretty nice. >> it was a nice weekend, and from here it gets warmer. we're going to see the sky continuing to clear out, and this week we'll have a mostly clear sky, lots of sunshine over the next several days. our temperatures will warm some of our inland highs, and we may reach up to 80 degrees by the end of the week. friday it starts to cool off as rain chances increase. now we are getting ready for that partial solar eclipse for the bay area and the sky is clear. we do have some great viewing for that. of course, we've been following that in the path of the total eclipse, there's some storms, there will be some clouds in some of those spots, so we'll continue to monitor for that. for us, it looks good in the bay area. we'll talk more about that in a few minutes. >>> we're going to continue talking about that solar eclipse,

. >>> i'm marcus washington. >> and i'm laura garcia. thanks for starting your day with us. let's get a look at that forecast with meteorologist kari hall. you say it's going to be nice today. >> it's going to be nice and warmer. we're going to have a little more of a taste of spring as we go through the middle of the week. we're starting out chilly with upper 40s, but it is all clear and that sunshine will bring in warmer temperatures throughout the day. and when we do get that warm-up, people think, i'm going to the beach today. well, here is a look at half moon bay's forecast. it starts out at 53 at 9:00, and then we'll see temperatures only hitting about 60 degrees before it starts to come back down. it's going to be breezy, but a lot of sunshine, and beautiful views. as our highs for the inland areas will reach into the mid-70s, dublin, livermore, 75 degrees. also 75 in novato and san mateo. we'll reach a high temperature of 68 degrees, it will be even warmer tomorrow, with some parts of the south bay into the east bay in the low 80s. so i'll have more on that. we'll ta

i'm marcus washington and i'm chris sanchez. i'm in for laura garcia.th that breaking news in san francisco where we now know that crews have made progress on that two alarm fire. it's happening at a four story building near clay and lyon today in the bay. ginger conejero saab is there at the scene. ginger, you're getting some new updates from the captain that we spoke with earlier this morning. that's right. chris. captain justin shaw of san francisco fire just told us that the bulk of that fire, that residential building that's been on fire all morning long, that is, for the most part, contained the bulk of that. they are still working on hot spots and the voids of the building to make sure that those don't turn into something that's more of more concern. but the first calls for this fire came in before 430. justin. justin shaw tells us that, you know, crews were on scene in less than four minutes, but already they were presented with a unique set of challenges, as firefighters are for pretty much every day that they're on work. captain shaw is here t

i'm here for laura and i'm marcus washington. first we want to continue with some breaking news this morning out of san francisco. we do know right now around 60 firefighters are battling this two alarm fire. it's happening near clay and lyon in presidio heights. joining us right now on the phone is captain justin shaw of the san francisco fire department. thank you so much for taking just a moment away. what can you tell us about the fire at this point, chris marcus, good morning. it was a scary morning for our neighbors here at lyon and clay, who woke up to see a four story building appearing to be under construction, completely engulfed in flames. all four floors on the front of the building. firefighters quickly worked to contain this building, this fire to the building of origin. right now we have our ladder pipes up which are the hoses that we have at the end of our 100 foot ladders, and we're using that to apply heavy water into the remains of this fire. now, we know that here in the presidio heights neighborhood, the home
