margaret. >> brennan: thank you, omar.ing tonight, a federal arrest warrant has been issued for brian laundrie, the fiancÉ of gabby petito, that 22-year- old whose body was found last weekend. laundrie hasn't been seen in more than a week. cbs's jericka duncan is covering the search in florida. good evening, jericka. >> reporter: good evening to you, margaret. brian laundrie is no longer considered a person of interest, but as you mentioned, he is now considered a suspect, while he is someone that police still are searching for. but he's connected to what they say are alleged crimes committed around the same time as gabby petito's death. tonight, the u.s. district court of wyoming has issued a federal arrest warrant for brian laundrie, wanted for activities following the death of fiancÉe gabby petito. the warrant alleges he used an unauthorized bank card around the time of gabby's disappearance. meanwhile, police in moab, utah are launching a formal investigation into how their department handled a 911 call involving a pos

i'm margaret brennan, in for norah tonight. we begin with breaking news from a suburb of memphis, tennessee, where yet another american community is shaken tonight by a deadly mass shooting at a neighborhood grocery store. a gunman, for reasons not yet determined, started shooting inside a kroger store in collierville. at least a dozen wounded and one has died. the gunman is deceased, possibly after taking his own life. there have been more than 100 mass shootings in the u.s. this year wounding more than 2,000. jeff pegues has been speaking with his law enforcement contacts, and he leads our coverage tonight. good evening to you, jeff. >> reporter: margaret, gunshots rang out inside that kroger store starting at about 1:30 this afternoon, and it did not take long for police to show up on scene. it was within four minutes, they were heavily armed, and what they saw inside was gruesome. multiple victims, after yet another mass shooting. >> going to be a active shooter at the kroger. >> reporter: heavily armed police from multiple

margaret? >> brennan: for more on the threats facing the country, we turn to michael morell, he is a cbs news contributor. >> great to be here. >> brennan: the head of al-qaeda issued a video on the 20th anniversary of the attacks. ththe u.n. says he is living in afghanistan. is he? >> i think so. which means that the taliban is harboring al-ziri today. the taliban is harboring terrorism today. >> brennan: it is a pleat false premises to say that pulling out of afghanistan we can still keep the threat from kabul at bay? >> we have a lot of work to do in order to do that, right? we have the figure out how we're going to collect two types of intelligence, how we're going to make sure that al-qaeda is not rebuilding its capabilities and is planning on attacking us again. if we do that, we have to collect the kind of intelligence that gives you the precision you need to conduct strikes. drones need to be told exactly where on the earth to go. what tells you that is precision intelligence. so a lot of work for

margaret? >> brennan: mark, thank you.would like to welcome the director of the nationaltituteof health, dr. francis collins, to the broadcast. thank you for taking time this morning. >> glad to be with you, margaret. >> brennan: doctor, you predicted earlier this month that it may well be boosters are going to be recommended for almost everybody. that didn't happen on friday. do you still expect broad approval? >> doctor: you know, we have to see how this plays out over the coming weeks because the data changes every day. i do think it was very significant, that the f.d.a. advisory committee voted unanimously in favor of offering boosters to people 65 and older and to others who have high-risk exposures, like health care professionals. so we're starreding down starting downthat path. they weren't convinced that it is required for the younger people not at risk. but some of the data coming in from israel tells me it is likely they will get to that point. but this was a start. i know people were confused about different mes
