i am margaret libby, of the financial center. i am here to talk about the resolution before you, introduced by supervisor -- introduced by supervisor campos, and co-sponsored by many of you. in a moment you will hear from a couple of the youth leaders who have worked hard on this issue. we are grateful that this group is taking on the issue. this is something we have cared deeply about for the last handful of years. we launched the first ever alternative payday loan product in 2008, which served as a blueprint for the program. the same year we decided to create an avenue for young people to have voices with community awareness across financial services access. we created the new economic rights for all, which is the youth advocacy group supported by the city to bring the voices of young people into this, to raise awareness about the french financial services, and the effect they have on communities and young people, as they live out their lives and make the transition into adulthood. we are grateful that you are taking this issue
