let's bring in maria bartiromo. what is going on this morning? >> thanks very much. sell-off underway for stock prices. one of the big issues investors digesting a change in the federal reserves moves. we expect them to start raising interest rates soon beginning in march of this year likely. goldman sachs with a report saying they're expecting four interest rate hikes. when you have higher ipt rates in the bond market it creates competition for the bond market. why not invest in stock and do a government bond and have safety if i get a sizeable return in terms of interest rates moving higher. the market now is disguessing this move from what the federal reserve where it was with easing or free money, a lot of stimulus out there to a tightening position. that's one of the issues here. jobs numbers were weaker than expected. the white house is trying to spin this. one of the reasons that the unemployment rate is so low is because people have given up and left the workforce. when you look at the current numbers you are talking about 4 million people having dropped out
