maria molina is tracking it all. good morning. >> good morning heather and ainsley.oing on out west is wif the big storm system moving eastward. cold air is with the storm system behind it. we are seeing that cooler air moving in. because of the cooler air we are seeing some of that rainfall transitioning over to snow. that snow really coming down out there acro parts of into wyoming. we have winter storm warnings in effect out there. montana picking up snow and idaho. some areas could be seeing more than a foot of snowy specially along the highest elevations. out east the big issue isn't snow it is rain. quite heavy at times. we have had several rounds of showers, thunderstorms and areas of heavy rain moving out here because of a frontal boundary. the forecast for that to continue as we head into the next several days. continuing to see that risk for localized flash flooding. at least up to 6 inches of rainfall in addition to what we have already seen through friday will be possible in some areas. temperature wise right now across the country mild across the southea
