maria shriver is here. you fascinate us. >> you have to listen up to this.t study ever of teenagers' brains, looking at how everything from homework to screen time to even how we parent impacts their cognitive health. they're regular kids, taking part in something extraordinary. 9-year-old mick and 10-year-old jenna, are being followed by researchers for the next decade, part of a study to find out what helps and brain. what kind of brain do you think you have? >> a big one. >> i think my brain is really cool. it's the most important part of our body. track over 11,000 kids through adolesceed adolesc. finding out factors impact their brain, drugs and alcohol, diet and exercise, screen time, academic and social stress, sleep patterns and how they're parented. susan bookheimer is one of the lead investigators. >> we can look at boys versus girls. we can look at exposure. we can look at kids in high-stress schools versus low-stress schools. >> reporter: in the ten-year study, kids get regular physical exams, cognitive tests and mri scans. they and their parents
