well mariam, we talked last in the past hour any new developments for us. well up until now no, actually new here in south lebanon, we do constantly hear of course the sound of the israeli surveillance planes, the uh fighter jets, basically a daily basis violating lebanese airspace that has also increased lately since the beginning of the confrontation with hazballah, we don't have any news about a specific operation yet, those... some people in in one area in the central uh border uh heard some noise of bombings uh where that bombings is it's not clear um we also know from israeli media that the israeli army is evacuating more and more settlements in that area and also we know that benjamin netanyahu was uh to the north the israeli army have also the some of them have they are being killed, they are being left to uh to die in the hands of hazballah that they're not, he's not doing anything to save them, so definitely this is a crisis for netanyahu, whether what's happening inside gaza and his dilemma of whether he would he should launch a ground incursion

i'm going to cross over to beirouts and talk to pres tv's mariam salah. mariam, good to have you with us, please fill us in on the latest situation uh at the southern uh, in southern lebanon. well, we usually get uh most of the information relating to the date details of the resistance. operations from the statements that are released by hazballah so basically we have two main operations today, one was earlier in the day and uh that in that statement they said that the fighters of the islamic resistance, of course hizballah's resistance is called the islamic resistance that they fired uh and targeted five israeli posts, they are the miscaf am post, the manara post, the hermon post and the risha post and post, so basically those they said will were hit with guided missiles and direct weapons and armaments and they they saw that their they hit their targets, the weapons really hit their targets. also we have the second statement today, today was quite slow concerning uh compared to what we had seen in the past, but still they were very significant in light

that is the situation inside like south lebanon of course we keep you... updated anything new uh mariam, we're also going to take a look at that video once more and have you give an explanation, this is a video that we played uh in the last time that we spoke i believe and it's about the publication video showing the uh how an armored israeli vehicle was uh targeted by a cornet atgm istle in the east of ghaza, let's take a look at that and we'll have you give an explanation on that. so basically uh has published this video, that's the is vehicle that was targeted, hello, it's pretty interesting the way this uh targets that it's called a cornet atgm missile, there you see it, there it goes, it's a rather odd way of uh how it actually knows where to hit. in terms of the route that uh is traveling, it's not a direct uh route that it takes and there you have the uh israel vehicle blowing up all right so um it's this particular video mariam was uh actually more clear uh it was the same but the same incident but it was much clear uh showing how this cornet missile uh target is really armor ve

mariam, are you with us? i think yes, like i was saying that if the the estimation that we have as a result of all the operations that have been conducted, we can see that at we can say that... estimation would be around 10 soldiers dead, we don't have accurate numbers here, since hazbullah of course did not know or did not put in their statements or say even if they do know for sure how many were killed, they not they didn't put in the statement um, this was left for the israelis to see that since they declare every now and then that they have killed soldier here, killed soldier there, some of them were taking to the nahareah hospital, um so therefore they're not very clear on how many soldiers they have lost, but an estimation will be around 10, but let's not forget there's not just hezballah operations, there was also infiltration by the islamic shihat group, that led to the killing, as we know for sure for four israeli soldiers, so we're probably talking about more than 10 israeli soldiers, maybe 12, mayb

uh has made it clear that they would take a step further depending on the situation in gaza, and mariamar it's more than dozen people and that includes several members of hezbollah, civilians and also journalists right, yes definitely want to say from the beginning of the israeli war on. uh we've had several a lot of bombardments lebanon and so mainly what we have is one journalist and that was something that eventers for is calling for investigation on what happened exactly since we don't we don't have that there needs to be investigation on why they targeted the directly while they were clear wearing uh their their which have press on them and so that is one of the major issues that lebanon believes to be a crime. lebanon will be also issuing a report to the united nations on this issue. we also have two civilians that will killed in the town of shiba, which is near of course the occupied shiba farms. so that brings it to total of three uh civilians basically, the others that were killed were members of hazballah's movement, the islamic jihad and the hamas movement that are refugees.

okay, now allow me to go back to south lebanon to. and mariam sir, mariam, there are reports of evacuation uh were added to artillery shelling and different kind of attacks and hisball of course isn't responding just today and an hour ago or so again we had several targets hits by as well uh precision guide of missiles uh so... about the evacuation on both sides, both beat and the lebanes site and the uh israeli site, give us some details, well we know that the numbers on the israel side are much higher, of course they don't have a higher population like we do, but in lebanon, it's not as extreme as it is from the israelies, the israelies are talking about deep within 4our kilometers, 6x kilometers in some cases they have evacuated and many of them are say. they're telling the israeli media that they don't plan on coming back and that seems to be part of the media war that we are that the resistance is launching and we are we can see here many of the houses with their children with the their families they're still here they're still in these villages of course you have those that are built

well, let me cross back over to beirot, mariam saley is there. mariam, what's the overall vibe in? country in lebanon right now um with the the situation that uh we have seen several retaliatory attacks by hezbullah and of course the israelis uh sending mortar fires into lebanon especially in the south overall what's the field there? well first there's a lot to talk about in this regards uh we have the fact that for example you have the people of south lebanon very much supportive of the resistance we heard from leaders of hamas stressing that despite all the sacrifices and the martyrdom, the people still have trust in the resistance, and the same goes here in lobanon, especially those people who are could be displaced, could be uh deal a lot of destruction to their homes, see their ones being murdered as a result of any future israeli aggression against them, these continuous challenges of course, many of them have lost their sons uh fighters with hazballah and others as well in the other factions of the resistance uh we had just yesterday two of the lebanese brigades uh for the f

mariam, are you there? yes, i am. okay, we had just - pictures from uh, what seems to be a funeral ceremony, and yesterday we're talking, almost at this time, you told me there are 24 members of hezballah so far. i wonder if that statistics of the casualties and fatalities have changed on the part of esbala? yes, well definitely, of course, it seems that we have new members of hazballah's resistance that have fallen. so up until now i think we have around 26 uh resistance fighters that have been murdered in this fight we also have of course members of the islamic jihad resistance and we also have two members of the lebanese brigades for resistance against israeli occupation that was a faction of resistance that was formed in 1997 uh just before the liberation of 2000, they were a group that was formed by multi cross-sectional, across lebanon people from all sects, whether christian or sunnis who basically came together and formed this resistance and they were trained by hazballah since they decided they wanted to also
