nbc bay area's marianne favro is live in san francisco with new developments. >> reporter: well, more than 24 hours later you can see that san francisco police are still parked here in front of this home on telegraph place. and according to a police report that we obtained tonight, this is the apartment where jeff adachi was found unresponsive. and he wasn't alone. tonight we are learning more about the hours leading up to san francisco public defender jeff adachi's death. where he wd unresponsive pape police report indicates a woman apartment named katarina told them she and adachi went to dinner at a restaurant early yesterday evening when adachi complained about stomach ache. the two then ent to this apartment on telegraph place which one of his friends says she lets him stay at from time to time. according to police, katarina reported adachi had two glasses of wine, took a pill, then became unresponse oif. that's when she used his phone to call 911. neighbor tom mccall saw first responders arrive. ? i looked out the window at about -- i could see there were some flashing lights. s

nbc bay area's marianne favro is near the uvas reservoir with the rising water levels and that warning. marianne? >> reporter: well the campground has a low-lying road that leads to the campsite so the concern is if that road became flooded then some of th stranded. thousand trails campground in morgan hill is downstream from uvas reservoir, which is now at capacity. is video taken from our nbc bay area sky ranger -- shows water flowing into the spillway and downstream you could see water levels rising under the bridges near the campground. one of the big concerns is the low-lying road leading to campsites. as a precaution, campground operators ordered all of the guests to leave. including lambert lorrette, who said he was told to get out yesterday. >> they said we had to go. we had to leave. and to leave the campground. >> did they give you a reason? >> they said the water board was here and they're evacuating the park. >> reporter: lambert said this is the third time he's had to evacuate the thousand trails campground, the santa clara water district saidreir andal m and vessona has r

reporting live in cupertino, marianne favro, nbc bay area news. >> maryann, thank you. we have a follow-up to a story we reported last week. there's been a major break in the case. police have a suspect after a gun was stolen from a baggage carousel at s.f.o. investigators are looking for this man, airport security cameras captured this image. they say the man stole the case from a terminal 3 baggage carousel. in t millimeters hand gun, magazines and rounds of familiar in addition. the gun's owner trains police officers and has a permit for the gun. he says it was shipped to s.f.o. from las vegas when his flight was delayed. >> 319 car break ins in one bay area city since the just the start of the year. that's what fremont police are deal with and tonight they have a warning for all of us. don't leave your stuff where the crooks can see it. officers are beefing up patrols at shopping centers and parking lots. both robberies happened outside of gyms and restaurants. the thieves' main target, laptops. it's such a big issue people met with police today to talk about it. >>

nbc bay area's marianne favro is live in san jose with a look at how the city is gearing up for the nextound of rain. marianne? >> reporter: look at this, this is the guadalupe river at al ma, considered one of san jose's top trouble spots. the reason is, it often gets clogged with big logs like the one you see here, and that can lead to flooding. this tree was no match for the heavy rains and winds. it came crashing down onto a fence, narrowly missing a home on doyle street in san jose. the storm also toppled this tree on hillsdale avenue, and drive . the downpour also contributed to this sink hole on bailey aef in south san jose. city crews were out in full force trying to fix small problems before they turn into big ones. in the wake of 2017's coyote creek flooding, san jose has developed a new joint emergency action plan. >> when the creeks get to a certain level, we initiate a certain communication protocol. when the creeks get to another level, we initiate another protocol for noticing and evacuation, so those elements are in the joint emergency action plan, and we are able to moni
