the bus driver -- 63 year old marilyn kay ray -- was cited for causing the crash. there were 31 kids onboard-- from "summerfield crossings elementary." new this morning... a manatee county man is behind bars accused of abusing his girlfriend's 1- year-old son so badly... it killed the little boy. investigators say the child's injuries happened while in his care. 10 news reporter kendra conlon uncovers child protective services has investigated the family in the past. when 14 month old knowellan kelly arrived here at manatee memorial hospital doctors discovered he'd had several broken ribs... bruises on his chest.. as well as bleeding and swelling of his brain that they say from those injuries - the next day. a month later - his mom's boyfriend is now charged with the baby's death. investigators say 37 year old john stewart had been watching his girlfriend's son, here at his palmetto home, while she worked. records show stewart facebook messaged mother danake crawford that the little boy had been having seizures... he even took pictures.. documenting throwing up...
