a severe thunderstorm warning issued by the national weather service that includes the counties of marin, san francisco, san mateo with small hailstone, one of the features of this storm, and gusty winds up to 60mph. but now you're seeing that box fade away. that that warning was supposed to expire at 4 p.m. not sure if it's still in effect right now because it is 4 p.m, but you can see how intense and unstable the weather conditions are right now. once again, this is a level three storm, a strong one featuring heavy downpours, possibly, well, potentially flooding rains. a storm thunderstorm chance is with us through 7 p.m. even though the severe thunderstorm warning may have expired and strong winds and downed trees and power outages are of course, possibility with this storm. here's a forecast animation taking us through the evening rush. notice that we're not going to see this storm lose any of its intensity until much later in the evening, so it will be with us for a while. i'll have more updates and the complete accuweather seven day forecast in a few minutes. larry and kristen. >>
