lauren and marina a major investigation underway here tonight. these two homicides make for ten homicides in prince george's county just since last saturday. the shootings tonight happened around seven:30. hours later still a lot of activity here. police say the two men were shoin these businesses. early reports indicatedded that the shootings happened inside the pop eye's restaurant down on the corner. police say that's because one of the victims did end up there. one of the victims after he was shot, he did leave where he was shot and he did go to pop eye's seeking help and that is where the fire department and our officers did discover the one victim. we're not exactly sure if this was them shooting towards each oh, whether there was even a third or more parties involved. that's something we're actively trying to establish. as you heard, police are still trying to find out exactly what pped that, whether the victims may have shot each other or if there are others involved. one of the victims was found dead on scene. the second, the one who ran

>> reporter: shawn and marina we're learning more about where carlos bell had access to other children other than here at stoddert middle school. where investigators say he had sexually assaulted young boys. we now know that he had coached at a track club here in charles county. we know that he worked in before and after care at two elementary schools here in the county. and we also know that he worked for the county as a facilities attendant. investigators are asking for more help. the president of comets of charles county issued this statement to fox 5. the comets of charles county have been in constant communication with the authorities providing them with the information they need to conduct their investigation. we and prayers to the families affected. it's unclear at this point if any of the boys bell coached with the comets were victims of sexual assault. investigators still continue to review videos discovered on the 30-year-old electronic devices and interview boys he may have had contact with. according to the sheriff's office. bell sexual assaulted some of his victims inside

announced offersers will start working 12-hour shifts to try and combat some of the violence fox5's marina maracco reports. >>reporter: the prince george's county police chief says these 12 hour shifts will be implemented immediately and says this response to the county's recent spike of violence. they have seen 12 homicides. it has forc ed the chief of police patrol the county on 12-hour shifts mapping out areas where the county has seen a saturation of violent crimes and fatal collisions as well as increased disputes and increased loit ter ring. as of today there's a 1 percent difference in violent crime this year versus last year . we are still at fewer homicides by one this year than last year. so this isn't a response to a huge spike. we're essentially flat. what this is is to ensure that lives of citizens, lives of officers, lives of fire and ems personnel are not jeopardized by these disputes that are evolving into violence. recent homicides have struck a cord with the community . on saturday police were called to a bowie home where a man is now killing his stepfather and then posti

i'm lauren demarco and i'm marina maracco. two dead this morning. this is all happening near the poppy's restaurant at the 4600 block in suitland. that's where we find lindsay watts with more details on what all happened. >>reporter: there are still a lot of police officers here, a huge area blocked off by crime tape, a lot still going on tonight. this is where two men were shot and killed earlier and we found out from police that this happened in an alleyway between these businesses over here. not too far from the pop eyes but it was actually in the alleyway that these men were shot. at this point it's not clear if the victims were the shooting at each other or if there was somebody else involved . there is no suspect information, no information on a motive. we'll show you some video from when we first arrived . this happened around seven:30, initially police said it was a double shooting with one dead, ago we found out the second victim also died after being taken to the hospital. first reports said that this happened inside the pop eye's restaura
