for now let's head back out to marina maracco. she has been looking at storm damage all day long. marina caitlyn, from our perch here in rockville we were able to see that electrical storm just before dusk it was making its way over towards olney and then towards colombia, maryland. it was quite the light show tonight just as the sunset, but the damage was really in howard county. you can see this video here, that tree from the backyard coming down on that house there on the second level nearly splitting it in half and then the front end of that tree finally careening down into the front driveway and ultimately resting in that car. severe damage to that house. we checked with fire crews, they cleared the home and everyone was able to make it out safely. now throughout that area there, in glenn elk that house across from glenn elk high school severe damage. we saw trees downed, debris as well as power lines and traffic lights out. a lot of cops out on the roads directing traffic, making sure that everyone was able to get home from one place to the next safely especially ri rush hour
