fox5's marina maracco is life at police headquarters with the very latest. what have they been able to tell you. >>reporter: right now, shawn, still no arrest in the the case. we don't know if there was one sh behind this double shooting. a 17 year old, however, is dead tonight following that double shooting and teachers on the scene say that this young man attended anacostia senior high school last year, was a sophomore, but it's unclear why he was not in school today. it was the middle of the day, two in the afternoon as police responded to the shooting just down the street that very high school, a second shooting took place about a block away from the initial scene. an adult man delivering pizzas was struck in the leg and investigators believe at this point that both shootings connected. we spoke with the young victims' former high school teacher who showed up to the scene immediately after learning the teen had been shot. a very nice kid, very laid back, very jovial. he has a lot of humor. very fun initial easygoing kid. i think that deserve an opportuni

fox5's marina maracco is life in h southeast with those details.l hey, marina. >>reporter: hey there, guy,ere, tonight there is going to be a vigil here held nor that 17 yeat old that died in that double shooting.sho that 17 year old kevin jackson, said to be a student of and cosd yeah senior high school justst down the street from his highgh school. the vigil will be just outside from where he lived with his family. his siblings and his mother expected here tonight. according to neighbors here, they believe that kevin was turned around at anacostia high when he showed up to school on thursday for not wearing part of his uniform. as he was walking back home you'll see the scene there from the shooting, that's where he was shot walking up 16th street southeast back to hiss house. now, of course this has not been confirmed by d.c. ps whether or not he was wearing his uniform, whether or not he was skipping school he or he was turned arou. we just don't know at this time. but we did speak with his teachers back on thursday whourd say last year he was a sophomore, u
