the marina playa apartments where we are live right now is where neighbors have seen about four to fiveese ducks shot with these thin metal blow darts. we are going to show you some graphic images now. one had a thin 4" metal dart in the face under the eye and out the cheek. last week a maintenance worker tried to save a duck with 5 of these darts all over its body. but it died. it is believed someone shot these ducks sometime around the end of last week. those darts and blow guns are illegal here in california. neighbors say they are stunned it's happening in their backyard. >> your heartbreaks any way when you see this kind of a thing. >> reporter: volunteers with the nonprofit wild rescue will be here to try to get the rest of the ducks. ducks were shot in the same way three miles from here in march. they have heightened concerns that it may happen again. the shooter is facing animal cruelty charges as well as state and federal charges because these are wild birds. >> hopefully that community can keep their eye out for anyone doing this. awful. >> reporter: it's really hard to see th
