marin county watershed the headlands, the hills above marin and it's been managed well. and so that's very fortunate. you get an atmospheric river. it's so often it comes a little too quick and you can't handle it, but we've been able to handle it. the mountains are getting rain on the snow, so we've lost a lot of snow. but overall i would say a very beneficial storm. we get a break. that break starts kind of now and works its way into tomorrow. so tomorrow for most of the day it should be dry. and then tomorrow night into tuesday, overnight monday into tuesday. that's our best shot for a pretty decent weather system. this is an atmospheric river induced storm, but it's not classic. it's one that's got a little cold front with it, snow levels will come down, the winds will come up, and it will feel more like a winter storm instead of that constant drizzle. so things are changing. but yes, we are got we do have more rain in the forecast right now. we're looking at tuesday and thursday as the bull's eyes for the next sets of next set of rain. we'll have the full forecast c

highway 101 and right along the coast there, the marin county coast will go in closer from point reyesverness. this is just a lot of farm country here. and also looking at olema, maybe a few sprinkles as we get into vacaville and i-80. so most of this north of i-80 moving into sacramento and just kind of fizzling out. so with the cloud cover, we have temperatures from the low 40s in livermore to the mid 40s from san rafael, 48 though downtown, all that cloud cover insulating us. so morning showers today looking at partly cloudy. a lot of clouds around monday and tuesday, but we will be dry. our next opportunity for rain comes in on wednesday and it's another slight chance. and then we'll be looking at those showers once again, maybe a 10th to 2/10. here's a look at how what's going to play out today. so you notice through 6:00 it remains in the north bay. maybe a sprinkle over to the east bay. 8:00 you could see a few sprinkles just kind of moving through the bay shore. otherwise we're left with the clouds around and a somewhat mild afternoon. here's a look at the rainfall amounts. any

a marine county sheriff's deputy shot at 2 dogs after he saw them attacking a group of people. this was in soon on saturday near the salvation army community center. there, off-duty deputies said that he heard cries for help and then he multiple people being attacked. one of the dogs died. the other was injured and the sheriff's department released a statement saying because of the severity of the attacks and the limited resources available, the deputy fired his gun twice. >> in the north bay, the fire department wants to help with the public or help the public in their investigation. it will fire back on january 31st. so that fire broke out about 6 o'clock in the morning right near washington and children's wonderland park crews arrived at the scene to find the building on fire and they work to put out those flames. investigators are asking the public now to give them any video footage they might have taken. but prior to them arriving on scene so that the hopefully that'll help with the investigation, they believe those videos may be critical in finding the origin of the fire.

now, here in marin county, the rain has been on and off for most of today. however, earlier in the day, the marin county sheriff's office released some pretty powerful video of that water rescue from tuesday. i spoke to them earlier today to find out exactly what happened. >> hey, can you hear me? >> dramatic video released by the marin county sheriff's office showing the rescue of a woman early tuesday. the sheriff's office says the woman was driving to work on a rural road in near point reyes around 5 a.m. >> water was rushing off the hillside along the roadway and ultimately was filling up that creek and, as she was driving, hit a large puddle on the road and lost control of the vehicle, ending up in that flooded creek. >> after spotting the car in the creek, the sheriff's deputy immediately jumped into action. >> are you in there? where are you at? in the back. hey! >> he then breaks the car's back window and begins removing items, trying to give the woman stuck inside the submerging car as much room to breathe as possible. >> i can get you out. oh, god.

we know first responders up in marin county. they spent the week rescuing drivers for sara st that. >> there has been crashes and spinouts in marin county. the roads are slick in. some are flooded. we got video of the water rescue that shows a woman stuck in her submerged car. >> if you hear me. >> a dramatic video shows a marin county sheriff's deputy running into a flooded creek to rescue a woman trapped in her submerged car. your point rays. this happened tuesday morning just after 5. the sheriff's office says the driver lost control when she hit a large puddle along platform bridge road. for car ended up in a flooded creek. the water rose within minutes. but before the car was fully submerged, the deputy pulled her out to safety. later that day, we had more 20 responded to a rescue around the same area. >> and so it, you know, and there was barricades there in place, money, ochoa with marin county fire says during the storm they've responded to 7 rescues. this is video from one of chill wants to remind people how dangerous i
