come across the same finish line at that marine corps war memorial. the six marines who put the flag up there and they all get the finishers medal from a united states marine. they earned it because you know, we're the only major marathon or probably any race in the world that makes you finish up on a hill. >> exactly. that is the big, final push. a lot of changes, safetrack year. tell us a little bit about how the start times have changed. the courses changed. metro used to open 5:00 a.m. not until 7:00 a.m. >> one of our mission pillars is the showcase, the organization skills of the united states marine corps. and we were tested this year, absolutely. metro safetrack really put us in a different mode of operation. over on the rock creek parkway and you have to make up the mileage. arlington made up that. once we have the course, it is like, how do you get the people, like you said, the metro system is not opening in two hours, we have a robust bus plan. we reached out to other parking facilities to house our runners like the ronald reagan building.
