the 34-year-old mario chavez is believed to be the driver of that van. he's also the father of the three children. stephanie ramirez has more on this abduction. >> reporter: witnesses and friends tell me this parking lot area is where the abduction happened. they also tell me the 34-year- old woman had a protection order against the father of her three children. she recently moved to this apartment complex trying to start new. the children, 11-year-old, 10- year-old and a 2-year-old were last seen near the 4000 block of 36th street in mount rainier around 8:30 to 8:40 last night. witnesses ask they not be identified for fear of their own safety, saying the family had just come back from church when they heard the commotion. >> my brother-in-law tried to stop him to see what's happening, but he just, just flew out of the place. grabbed my hair, hit her in the face, tried to stop him from pushing -- but he was stronger thanker. he eventually got her. that's when he drove away. >> reporter: prince george's county police are investigating, asking we continue
