mary, what's happening now?e, really, we're seeing kind of a standstill right now between police and protesters. the tension has dropped down a notch. what we can tell you is this, what we saw were about four or five people, handful of people earlier lift barricades that had been inside zuccotti park. we're on the south side of zo zuccotti park. once those barricades were lifted, police started moving in. you saw some pushing and shoving. we saw at least two arrests following that. police just streamed in after that. what we are seeing now is police wanting cedar street, which is on the south side of zuccotti park, with the protesters inside. they streamed in here after their initial protest march early this morning when they really targeted the new york stock exchange. their plan was to disrupt trading on wall street. that did not happen. they did close off some intersections around the new york stock exchange. there had been, at that point, police say about 50 to 60 arrests, mostly for disrupting traffic. they

i will start with mary. >> thank you. i thought all this testimony from the community speakers was incredibly moving and shows a wide range of issues that really has to be addressed. i guess i slipped into my pragmatic mode at some point and try to figure out what the calculation is, basically in terms of what the market will bear. it is clear, political pressure from around the country is often what helps to determine that, but we can also tell by watching how things develop, that there are forces impinging on what will actually get accomplished. i think the critical thing is to remember there are two ways that we can influence what the government does. there is the legislative, cir approach, and there is the administrative reform. some of which does not require legislation. some of the stories we were hearing, particularly from the business perspective, is about changing the way people do business, in terms of the government, changing the way we think about the relationships that exist. a lot of that can be done by pres

mary's county.he bus was carrying five adults and 28 student's home after a basketball game in virginia. 15 students, one adult, and a bus driver were transported to a hospital with non-life- threatening injuries. the truck driver was treated and charged with dui. crews are investigating a two- alarm fire at a vacant home under renovation and 2900 block of allen dale road in northwest baltimore. there were no reports of any injuries. there is an increase in police presence in the phoenix community of baltimore county every week of suspicious activity. firefighters were called to put out a fire that destroyed a 1994 chevy suburban in the driveway of a home. investigators later found broken bottles that had been burned along a nearby roadway and a container of gas. the incident sparked concern among residents. >> it doesn't frighten me but it causes me concern. i would hate to wake up in the middle of the night to see my car or truck being burned up. >> of baltimore county police are urging anyone wit
