meteorologist mabrisa rodriguez is here to give us a look at the forecast. marissa. yeah.as one storm exits, another one is set to arrive to the sierra this weekend. in fact. >> we're tracking the first storm mainly from the storm out there right now in southern california. that's going to bring mountain snow to this year on saturday with a widespread snow showers arriving by sunday into monday and also an avalanche watch going to go into effect for the back country of most of this year's specifically, the greater lake tahoe area sunday morning through monday morning. they've already seen feet of snow and we're expecting an additional up to 3 feet of snow. this weekend and gusty winds as well. so it is going to be dangerous out there. make sure to head out the door. now, if you do plan on heading for your weekend getaway in this year because we're going to track for elevations above 7,000 one to 3 feet of additional fresh powder. but most of this year going to see up to a foot of snow, at least and wind speeds going to be gusty and 5 for our valleys 50 miles per hour. up t
