mark: thank you. let me begin by asking your reaction to these mandatory restrictions ordered by jerry brown. what impact does this have on your business? mark: the restrictions have little impact on the hydro business because hydro is not consuming water. what happened last year when we had a similar circumstance, the water board permitted people to file exemption for hydro and we were able to continue to bring in using water. i would expect a similar situation this year. to the extent water is available hydro producers will be able to run it through their turbines. mark: we are only four months into 2015, what are the organizations telling you about how they've been acted by the drought -- impacted by the drought? mark: we deal with a number of irrigation districts. the impacts are quite significant on that. each and every one of these districts, we deal with who do have hydropower production is in the process of planning for severe drought, controlling water consumption by their customers. tighteni

mark: thank you. today's top story, nokia s's deal. >> we understood yesterday that a deal was to be done. now the devil is in the details. alcatel is being valued at more than had been expected by analysts. we saw a ramp up in shares yesterday. many felt that this would be a cash and share deal. it sold off its mobile phone units to microsoft last year. it could also be looking to sell off its mapping unit. it is going to be in all share deal. 28% premium on what is the average share price for alcatel. investors will get money back. alcatel shareholders will hold 33.5%. nokia will hold the rest. both boards have agreed to the terms of the proposed transaction. the french government although the government does not hold stake they may deem it important. a have a 700 are in be jobs in france. all of nokia will be what the company is called. rajiv surrey -- rajeev suri has been the chief executive. this is perhaps where analysts are concerned, are we back to a whole new restructuring or the companies? b

mark: no doubt. speaking of getting in front of new hampshire voters, so far on this new hampshire swing, we started last night, jeb bush has done three speeches, three voter q&a's and two very available press events. his stump speech is better than it was even a few weeks ago. and he's more accessible to the media than pretty much any other major candidate in this race. especially compared with hillary clinton. i asked jeb bush about that earlier today. why is it important to talk to reporters? >> i don't think it's that unusual to talk to you guys, you come out here to talk. i'm missing the point of why would you not talk to them. mark: that's the way we used to do it. some of the other candidates go days at a time without ever talking to the press. >> we may reach that point at some point but right now i kind of joan joy it -- of enjoy it. mark: before we talk about jeb bush and his openness and speech, let's go back to the video replay. i want to point out that in all the excitement of being at t

mark: why not come out against it?ohn: she's going to say a lot of critical things about how this bill has to do x, y, and z to let her sound as though she is on the left of it, but opposing it puts her in a bad place in terms of the general election. she does not want to tie her hands. mark: we have seen now a couple of the toughest issues she has been asked to address -- she's either taken the left position as opposed to centrist or no position. she is not really taking any things in the center. usually the clintons are free traders, and i agree with you probably at her heart she is a free trader and if she were president, she would be for a free trade deal. i wonder if this hedging is a good idea. i agree in the short-term, most people will probably not pay attention, but answers like that do not look decisive. they do not look like a leader. i said she's afraid of the left and i think she might be so afraid of the left that she forgets her biggest problem is authenticity. john: being terrified would cause her to do

mark? mark: thank you. caroline: deutsche bank has posted $1.5 billion to settle investigations and it's libel manipulation behavior. the possible deal would include both the united states and u.k. authorities. are international correspondent has the story from berlin. hans put this number into context. the number of banks have had to settle. every other week we have another investigation. hans: it does seem that way. when you look at the settlement alone, if this number comes in above 1.5 billion u.s. dollars, that would be with the record is right now. ubs paid $1.5 billion. in the $1.1 billion range is what barclays paid. crucially, barclays did not plead guilty. that is something we expect to happen. with deutsche bank, their u.k. subsidiaries will be guilty to a charge. voice was at 300 and $3 million. -- 300 and $3 million. -- $383 million. overall, they have set aside quite a bit of money. the total is about $3.6 billion -- that is what they said they put aside in december of 2014. over the last few
