morning, laura and marcus, wall street first looks like it's going to start in the red today, just slightly below the even mark. markets are coming off a negative session on friday but the dow nasdaq and s&p 500 still saw their third positive week in the past four. there's going to be a busy week for economic data with reports on home sales and consumer confidence, durable goods and first quarter gdp which meshers economic growth. it is also the heaviest week of earnings season which is a big, big time around here. about a third of the s&p 500 set to report. today we're going to hear from google's parents alphabet and amazon later in the week. friday the dow fell 201 points to 24,462. the nasdaq dropping 91 to 7146. prices at the pump continue to climb but i probably don't have to tell you that. the latest survey shows the average price is up ten cents over the past two weeks to 2.83 a gallon nationally. driven primarily by higher oil prices. 37 cents higher than this time last year and we're going into the summer so they are expected to rise even more. in the bay area gas is averaging between 3.60 and $3.70 a gallon. americans are taking a more critical view of big tech companies
