supervisor mark farrell (clapping) >> thank you mayor ed lee. it's an honor to be here today and with the city department heads as mayor ed lee mentioned if he wanted to be serious about reducing our homeless population in san francisco it takes a village it takes community leaders address staff and i see so many people that placed an integral roll in san francisco. as we reflect upon what we've done to address homelessness and look at the future more importantly it takes us to work together to make that happen. you know, back in february we held a hearing at the board of supervisors to look at our tenure homeless problem to see what's been effective and what we can do better. since then we've had 5 other hearings on homelessness inside our walls of city hall to explore different populations that are homeless and different ways to approach our homelessness and find collaboration to work out together. i think it takes that kind of dedication to make a dent. since then we've increased our homeless team and thanks to mayor ed lee and his leadership
