martin. chris cotter joins us live from new york with the business beat. where do things stand today on the mark >> premarket trading, we are down a little bit. done a little bit in europe as well. we have abeen up seven straight days in the market in general. yesterday, up about 68 points on the dow. ever did i as we stay above the 950 number, it is bullish from a technical standpoint. we want to keep that in mind. >> let's talk about what happened yesterday on capitol hill. ben bernanke was speaking. a response to what he had to say was what? >> he was at the house yesterday. he will be at the senate again today pretty much giving the same semiannual speech he always gives on the state of the economy. a little bit more rhetoric this time around about the potential for the fed to be more heavily involved in regulation. he said he cannot want that. that was not his intention certainly. also talked about inflation to a berate -- also talked about inflation a great deal. the goal of the fed is to give a slow rate of inflation and he says that probably won't happen for two years now. >> let's get o
