joining us is mark matthews. , you been watching central banks for a long time, certainly the federal reserve. donald trump opened this whole new venue that i don't think anybody has seen. what's going to happen next? do you think this is it? importantly, how big a factor, if any, does this have on the market? two people ignore this as a lot of noise? or is this something that's been weighing on you? mark: this fight between president trump and chairman powell, it really burned off the republican establishment. if there are envision procedures coming next year in the house of representatives, and he needs to maintain his super majority to not get voted for impeachment in the senate, then this is where i think all of it can of played. going forward, i think the fed has toned down what they were saying previously. now they are only looking for to rate hikes next year. i suspect that it will become less of an issue going forward simply because we don't see them raising rates until june next year. kathleen: it's inter

. >> matthew axelrod, let's now turn to the memo written by barr about the mueller investigation. this is what senator markur manu raju. >> i think it's more than a little bizarre that a private attorney, mr. barr, would write this kind of memo and then nefrkt give it, my understanding, to officials in the white house almost as an attempts to solicit this position, to say hey, mr. trump, don't worry, i'll have your back on the mueller investigation. to me that makes this individual disqualified for the position. >> so how unusual is it to send a memo like the one bill barr sent. >> it's incredibly unusual. in my time at the department of justice i worked there for over 12 years and was in senior leadership positions for four. it didn't happen a single time. in other words, we never soefd an unsolicited detailed pending criminal investigation -- >> is it disqualifying? >> look, that will be something that the senators will have to consider during his confirmation hearing. but it's seshlg going to be a problem for him and something he's going to be and tsked a lo questions about. the process is the problem.
