you have ginny sanford, the wife of mark sanford. she said in part if the media spent more time airing details on the thoughtful proposals put forth instead of highlighting the best debate quips or newest allegations, we might have an interesting race for choices. with that said, should we talk more about the allegations that herman cain's campaign took tens of thousands of dollars violating election laws. are we missing something by getting caught up in sexual harassment or equally important? >> when it doubt, doubt the media especially in a conservative race for president. the media is always a good target for republicans. it's a tried and true playbook and i'm surprised it took him so long to go there. >> he went there the first day. >> that's true too. to go there in an organize and concerted way, should we talk about other aspects of candidacy? sure. it would be ludicrous to suggest that the media has not talked about his policies and the 9-9-9 plan himself catapulted him to the status he has. reporters will continue to talk abo

day from former south carolina first lady, jenny sanford, who is also the ex-wife of governor mark sanfordn mistress note righty. ms. sanford wrote an op-ed, clarifying it wasn't an endorsement, but praising herman cain in an op-ed that ran in the "charleston post and courier" a few days before the allegations came against him with regard to the sexual harassment charges. however, that carl ran again a few days later in a different newspaper in the "state" newspaper. the editors there offered ms. sanford the opportunity to amend the article to reflect the new charges that had arisen against mr. cain. and it does, in fact, appear that she did so, referring three times, in fact, to the allegations that surfaced against him. now, i want to read for you one of the differences in one of the same paragraphs that she wrote that reflect the changes and the new references to the allegations. first in the october article that appeared in the "charleston post and courier" she reads, quote, pay attention to the negative ads but pay closer attention to the groups behind the ads. and remember, they may

former new york governor, eliot spitzer and that creep from south carolina, the former governor, mark sanfordaked on the appalachain trail when in fact he was in argentina with his lover. there are many more. some are still crawling around the halls of congress. the key in cain's case, we still don't know if he's guilty. although his clumsy handling of this hasn't helped him so r far. cain changed his story multiple times since the news broke sunday, that two women accused him of sexual harassment in the 1990s. it is unclear how much this is going to damage his campaign if at all. there are no polls that have been taken entirely after the news broke, but polls taken before show cain at the top of the republican field. the story seems to be rallying his base. cain's campaign raised more than $400,000 online on monday alone and several high pro file conservatives are sticking by cain. they're blaming the media and racism, which of course is always convenient when things aren't going your way. any way, here's the question. should, not will allegations of sexual harassment more than 12 years ago
