this book is actually not about mark sanford. i keep telling people that, not everybody agrees, but i think it is about me. about what i went through and my perspective. that is one reason i decided not to use the governor's name. i didn't want it to be a tell all. some people in the media have called it a tell all in the media recently. i have to say, there are a lot of words that are left out. i did not tell all. i just told a few things i felt like telling because i thought they were interesting. i thought about calling the book, i went through a lot of different titles, my editor my editor wanted me to call it the speechwriter which i didn't like. i wasn't really a speechwriter, or i was but he didn't ever like anything i wrote. so why would i call myself a speechwriter. speechwriter. she wanted to use it because it's simple and straight forward, i wanted to call it how to write badly. or learning to write badly because essentially that is what i had to do when i arrived in the office i thought of myself as a good writer, i t
