smith. >>> there are new charges in the high-profile corruption case against senate eor leland yee. racketeering charges have been added. some say this is a savvy legal maneuver. markatthews joins us. >> reporter: here's the 88-page super seeding indictment. and it ups the ante. not just for leland yee, but for 27 other defendants who may now be looking for a deal. leland yee and his co-defendants are accused of violating the racketeering statute known as ricoh. and it ups the antein terms of potential sentences. >> one conviction of one count of racketeering carries a sentence of 20 years. >> reporter: that means everybody in the case is looking at a potential for serious prison time. and while leland yee and shrimp boy chow may not be in line for a plea deal, there are others in this case. >> some of those named as defendants may very well turn up later as government witnesses. >> reporter: an attorney for for raymond shrimp boy, says his client has been wrapped up in a whole raft of crimes detailed by undercover fbi agents, but his attorney says it was all a fabrication. >> anything these informants that can say that would actually hurt, there's no evidence to s

but first joining me from chicago is brian smith, the senior writer of chicago magazine who wrote the story about josh marksod morning. >> what does this story, i read it, i was so compelled about it. what does it tell us about gun violence in america that is normally left out of the conversation? >> well, i think you put your finger on it, easy access to guns on the streets. it's been said often that chicago has very strict gun laws and yet has so much gun violence. but the issue is, anyone who wants a gun can go right across the border to indiana and bring guns back and there's also gun show loopholes so that the supply is always there. so i think the first thing it says is that there has to be some kind of, you know, common sense gun measures beyond just a city. >> right. >> so that people can't go right across the border and grab guns. >> stick with me a second, bryan pipe want to go to and i can't help but notice the similarity between the california story covered a few months ago where the family is rushing to try to get to the young person who has the gun and that ended up being a story of homicide.

smith intel chief financial officer. welcome. great numbers anyway you slice it and i guess the top headline for me as the pc death has been greatly exaggerated to quote mark i think what you are seen as a combination of things coming together that are consistent with the strategy we have sent out. we are seeing growth in the pc segment and we are seeing nice growth into and ones and we are hitting new price points in that segment and we are read many the pc and growing share and tablets and we have other devices like things that are growing nicely. on the other side we have the data set a group, from these devices. as well as the buildout of the cloud and when you put that together we had a good solid quarter, 6% revenue growth. liz: it sounds very nice on many different levels. i want to drill down on the pc sales. when we talk about enterprise that the big businesses finally stepping up and buying more pcs, but the client group, which is up 6% euro per year what about the people on the street buying personal computers versus tablets of mobile devices? do you see that pick up as well? >> i think we are clearly seen some shift of it share moving back to t
