this is his first appearance on "nightly business report" and so we welcome mark spellman, portfolio manager at alpine. you have two principal concern, one, how the market will react in the short term if and when the federal reserve raises interest rates. and the other is slowing global growth. how do you meld the two and come up with a portfolio strategy? >> yeah, i think this week for sure the emphasis has been on slowing global growth. the actions by the chinese government has shown they're very worried. that has global implications.
