also with me is mark tepper. great to see you. thank you for joining thus morning. >> good morning, maria. maria: good to see you and join the conversation on markets and the fed. take a look at futures this morning. a little bit of a bounce this morning after a huge swoon yesterday, the dow industrials up 179 and nasdaq also higher by about 77. but of course stocks sold off yesterday. the dow plummeting more than 1100 points. marking a tenth straight day of declines, the longest cold streak since 1974 and yields are up this morning, that's not good. 10 year treasury yield at 4.5%. the federal reserve of course signaled it is going to have a slower pace of rate cuts. the fed ending the year by cutting rates again by a quarter percent yesterday. of powell also signaled fewer cuts next year, two cuts likely with rates likely staying higher than investors were previously expecting. watch this. >> we and most other forecasters still feel that we're on track to get down to 2%. it might take another year or two from here but i'm confide
